The Friends need You!
Like most charities, FSYO rely on people giving their time as well as money. In order to allow us to continue supporting the young musicians in our ensembles, we need more help.
There are many different ways in which you could help us :
- Helping at Rehearsals
- Helping at Concerts
- Spreading the word
- Joining the Committee
- Donations
- Ideas and Suggestions
Please consider whether you could help us in any of these areas. They range from short, one-off jobs to more regular or ongoing tasks.
If you would like to help, please speak to a committee member at a rehearsal or concert (the ensemble directors can help direct you to us) or email us on info@fsyo.org.uk – we really appreciate all the help we can get!

After a Concert
- Packing away equipment
- Clearing the stage
- Loading the van
Spreading the Word
- Share our events and news on Social Media
- Put up concert posters and distribute flyers
- Tell friends, family and colleagues about our concerts
Joining the Committee
If you would like to become more involved in the running of the friends, we would love to hear from you. The committee generally meets once every half term.
We are currently looking for someone to fill the role of Membership Secretary.
Donating
- Direct financial donations (eg Bank transfer, Cheque, Direct Debit etc) *** BT MyDonate closed in June 2019 ***
- Commission based donations (easyfundraising, Amazon Smile)
- Raffle prizes
- Used toner and inkjet cartridges
- Unwanted music (which we sell at the Music Fayre)
Ideas and Suggestions
